First Day!

Team 105 had a great first day! We loved getting to know our classroom and each other. We will be very busy over the next couple of weeks learning routines, setting goals, and making classroom rules that will set us up to reach our hopes and dreams! I look forward to keeping you all up to date as they start this new journey in 5th grade.

Dear Team Member,
I hope you are having a restful and relaxing summer because fifth grade will be a busy and exciting year! I am thrilled about the opportunity to get to know you, and I am looking forward to a happy and productive school year. This year we will work hard AND have tons of fun!
This is will be my 8th year teaching in room 105 at Crisafulli. Along with teaching I also am co-advisor of the student council and I direct the fifth grade play. I enjoy integrating the arts into the classroom and learning new ideas from my students. This year I will be trying to find new ways to integrate technology into the classroom as well. This will be the first year that I will be maintaining a class website. It will be a place for us to share ideas and collaborate throughout the year. Check it out at http://crisafulliteam105.blogspot.com/ this will be a great tool to keep up with current events and homework in the classroom. Please have your parents visit the website before the start of the school year so they can fill out a parent survey.
Our main focus this year will be on building a community within room 105. Through Team 105 meetings, cooperative activities and discussions, we will become a team of students with whom you can feel safe to share your ideas, concerns and talents.

I am getting anxious to begin our school year and I’m sure you have lots of questions about how to be ready for the fifth grade. All you will need for the first day of school is a healthy snack and a smile. We will spend most of our time getting to know each other and our classroom: room 105.

You do not need to purchase any school supplies this year, as all required items will be provided for you.

I would love the opportunity to meet you before the start of school. I will be in room 105 during the open house on Thursday. Please stop by to say hi!

Sincerely,
Ms. Moores
