A great week!!!

Hi Parents!

What a great week we all had. The schedule was a little crazy, but with this beautiful weather you couldn't help but be in a good mood. Thank you to all of the parents for taking the time to meet and discuss your child's progress. It was fun for me to share all of the wonderful progress your children are making this year. This is truly a remarkable class. Today during Team 105 meeting the students worked in pairs to write poetry that conveyed a theme. Here are just a few of the amazing poems they came up with:

Theme: Life is about living to it's limits.

You can raise your hand and do much more
All you have to do is go to life's limits
Then you'll have the joy that you did it!
Trying something new may not always work,
But then you know what not to do.

Theme: Never tease people or you'll have no friends.

Once upon a time there was a little girl
She was nice and funny,
But too funny in all
At first she had a lot of friends
But soon there were no more.
She didn't understand
Teasing was the horror
Then she stopped being so mean
and teasing was a myth
Soon she had new nice friends
Ones she wouldn't have to miss.

Theme: Listen and you will learn.

Many have listened
Many have learned
Many grow stronger than they were before
Some have not listened
Some have not learned
Some have not grown stronger than they were before
Many have listened
Many have learned

Theme: Learn from your mistakes.

You made a silly mistake on your test, next time you should double check.
You killed a fish while reeling it in, next time don't use such a sharp pin.
You left the water running for a very long time, next time don't leave it on.
Mistakes happen do not scream
Now you also know our theme!

Theme: Respect People for who they are.

Billions of people everywhere
Few people really care
How we're all different
But that's ok, you are you and others are others
But all of us are really sisters and brothers.

Hi Parents!

Just a reminder if you are interested... Tonight at 6:30 at Crisafulli they will be having a math placement information meeting. It will answer questions on how placement is determined and the general differences between Standard and Accelerated programs.
