We are almost through our first round of PARCC. The kids have been great! They are working really hard and enjoying a week without homework :)
A few reminders:
1. Camp registration needs to be completed by this Friday April 29th. You can access the registration through this link: Camp Forms
2. Blanchard music selection for next year needs to be completed by all students. If you have not already done so you can register through this link: Blanchard
3. Students are bringing home their Science benchmark results today. No need to sign and return. Please feel free to contact me if you have any concerns.
4. Student book reports are due on Tuesday May 3rd. Students are responsible for a summary and project. There is more information under the homework link. Please contact me if there is any confusion.

Science Benchmark tomorrow
Just a reminder that the students will be taking their Science benchmark tomorrow on the Earth, Moon, and Stars. I have added a list of facts that seemed "rusty" during our review. Click on the Science tab to review these facts with your students.

Only 2 more weeks till vacation!
Hi Parents,
I can't believe April vacation is in two weeks. We will be very busy during the next two weeks. Students will be taking their Science benchmark on the Sun, Moon and Stars as well as starting a new poetry unit.
Students recently finished working on Persuasive essays and are engaged in new Literature Circle books. All of the groups are reading Newbery Award winning books. Did your child tell you that we got a new class pet from the leprechauns? We went on quite the golden hunt to find it. We are still waiting to name it as we have not had a full class of kids in over a week. Let's hope that Spring is on its way and that everyone has recovered from the many sicknesses that are floating around.
Remember that your child should be working on a book report due the first week in May. When we return from vacation we will be starting Parcc ELA testing.
Lets hope we don't get too much snow tomorrow!
